Fischer Motorsport signs Jason Allen

Allen has his roots in oval racing where he has won many races, including a championship against NASCAR champion Kyle Busch, who calls Las Vegas home, just like Allen.

At the beginning of 2020, Allen entered the GT sport and shortly afterwards gathered his first experiences in endurance racing. After intensive preparation, Fischer Motorsport announced on Saturday that Allen would join the team as a full-time driver starting in 2021.

“An opportunity to race with an organization like Fischer Motorsport doesn’t come along too often. I’m incredibly grateful and I’m committed to make the most of it.”, Allen said.

“I am still relatively new to GT and endurance racing, but I feel like I’ve already made big progress in the last few months. There definitely goes a lot into the preparation for Daytona. I’m excited about the next few weeks and the future with the team.”

Allen will be the third US American driver in the fold of the team, joining Kyle Birnie from California and Nathan Manning from Chicago.

“Jason is a true race car driver. He has a ton of experience in oval racing and a lot of that carries over to road racing as well. We’ve already seen that in his first start with us in the 12 Hours of COTA in October. He has a professional approach to learning new tracks and the specifics of endurance GT racing, that really has impressed us.”, team founder and owner Benjamin Fischer said.

“So we thought it was only fair to give him this opportunity. It’s a great addition for the team and is really bolstering our driver’s lineup going into the new year. We’re excited to have Jason on the team.”

Fischer Motorsport enters the 2021 iRacing 24 Hours of Daytona as defending champions (split 13) and is looking to repeat the feat this year. The first big endurance event of the new year will take place on the weekend of January 23rd-24th at Daytona International Speedway in Florida.
