This weekend, the fifth annual iRacing 24 Hours of Le Mans will once again take fans and racers to the legendary 'Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans'. Fischer Motorsport will make its second ever start in the event and try to improve upon a sixth place finish in last year's edition. The team will enter two Porsche 911 RSR GTE with a lineup of six drivers from Germany and the United States.

"Le Mans". No other name in all of racing creates an echo with fans and competitors, throughout history, quite like the name of the little town in the French provènce. Le Mans - the place where legends were born and triumph met tragedy over the course of nearly a hundred years.

The iRacing 24 Hours of Le Mans count as the pinnacle event of endurance racing every year, and rightfully so. No other event on the calendar offers quite the same prestige and fame as the endurance classic on the most famous French race track.

The 13.63 km long 'Circuit de la Sarthe' as the track is also called, winds through 21 turns with world famous names such as "Porsche", "Mulsanne", "Indianapolis", "Arnage" or "Tertre Rouge". Not to forget the equally well known and scary fast long "Mulsanne straight".

This Saturday, when a field of 55 cars in three different classes such as LMP1, LMP2 and GTE will take the green flag to this 24 hour test of man and machine, it will be the first time for Fischer Motorsport, that it will have not one but two cars in the event.

Manuel Mayer, coming off a victory in this past weekend's iRacing NEC at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, Pascal Theis and Graphite Racing's Nathan Manning, who is making a guest start for the team in this race, will team up to pilot the team's primary entry, the No. 84 Porsche 911 RSR GTE.

Kyle Birnie, Aaron DePoy and Benjamin Fischer will team up in a second No. 85 Porsche 911 RSR GTE running under the banner of Fischer Motorsport North America. Fischer, winner of the 2016 iRacing 24 Hours of Le Mans winner with Agee Motorsports, has high hopes for the team's two entries.

"I truly believe this team has what it takes to not only run upfront, but win this. But obviously a lot can happen in a 24 hour race. It's never been more true to say: In order to finish first, you must first finish. That's where our focus is this weekend. Our pace is outstanding. Porsche has given us a phenomenal car with the 991 RSR GTE. There was a bit of an adjustment in the balance of performance this Tuesday, but we're still confident that we have a great package to attack in the race."

Race start to the fifth annual iRacing 24 Hours of Le Mans will be at 15:45 CEST / 9:45 am EDT on Saturday. Fischer Motorsport will provide onboard live streams from inside both cars, that fans and friends can enjoy to follow all the racing action live from up close.
