Preview: iRacing NEC Round 3

The iRacing Nurburgring Endurance Championship continues this weekend with Round 3 at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Teammates Niclas Pedersen and Benjamin Fischer will compete in the four-hour event once again in the No. 84 Porsche 992 GT3 Cup.

The team made its season debut in championship round 2 earlier this month and went on to finish sixth in class.

This time around, the team hopes to take its next step, says Pedersen:

“I think we have a good setup. If we can stay on course and out of trouble and get the most out of the car, we may have a shot at the top-five, maybe even more.”

The team would not comment on Saturday, who will be taking on Qualifying duty and starting the race on Sunday. Chances are it will be Fischer, as Pedersen started the race last time.

With seven races to go, the No. 84 Porsche team currently sits 142th in the 992 Cup point standings, after missing the season-opener in late March.

The race is scheduled to go green Sunday at around 15:40 CEST / 9:40 am EDT
