Preview: iRacing NEC Round 8
Pascal Theis and Benjamin Fischer will pilot the No. 84 BMW M4 GT3 in NEC Round 8, looking to put together a strong run to kick off the final stretch of the season.
It will be the first time for the two drivers to share a car at the Nürburgring since the 2020 Nürburgring 24 Hours, when the team went on to capture second place running a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.
The race this Sunday will be much shorter, of course, at the usual NEC distance 4 hours. The weather forecast predicts perfect racing conditions for competitors.
“We’re happy to be back. It’s a fantastic late-summer weekend. We’re ready to have some fun and hopefully get a good result. At this point, it’s not really about the championship points anymore for us, but we want to regain confidence as a team and drivers and get back in the groove.”
The iRacing NEC Round 8 takes the green flag on Sunday at 15:40 CEST / 9:40 am EDT.
