In celebration of its 20-year anniversary earlier this season, Fischer Motorsport’s three cars will feature special silver car liveries at Road Atlanta

The team based in Leipzig, Germany was established on April 2, 2002 and has been a mainstay in the VSCA SportsCar Championship since day one.

In the twenty years since its formation, the team has won several sports car and endurance events such as the iRacing 24 Hours of Le Mans, iRacing 24 Hours of Daytona and several iRacing Nürburgring Endurance Championship (NEC) events at the team’s home track, the Nürburgring.

In VSCA, the team’s No. 14 Dallara has earned the organization’s first victory in the series at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in July of this year with drivers David Koopmans and Niclas Pedersen.

The two GT entries, No. 84 and No. 85 Porsche have combined for a total of three top-five and seven top-ten finishes in the 2022 VSCA SportsCar Championship.

“It’s hard to believe that it’s been twenty years. A lot has happened since then. But I’m most thankful for all the people that have been part of the team over the years.”, said team owner and manager Benjamin Fischer.

“That’s what has made it special, all the friendships, the comradery and team spirit over the years. Sure, the wins and success on the track are what we ultimately drive for, but none of it would have been possible without the people making this team so special.”

For the season finale Petit Le Mans, the team’s three cars will feature silver as primary color, instead of the usual white.

“Yeah, we felt like mixing it up a little bit, for the occasion. It’s not every day that your team turns twenty, after all.”, Fischer added.

With a lineup of seven drivers in the race, Fischer Motorsport will be looking for its first win in GT3 and second win in the P2 Prototype competition.

“We can’t wait. It will probably be quite a wild ride, as always is the case at Road Atlanta. Especially traffic will be an issue. But it’s all part of endurance and multi-class racing. We’ll be ready and hopefully we can get a couple good finishes to close out the season.”, Fischer commented on Petit Le Mans.

The ten-hour endurance race at Road Atlanta starts Saturday at 14:00 GMT and will be streamed live on the VSCA YouTube channel.
