With the new IVRA ClubSport Series kicking off this weekend, Fischer Motorsport enters Round 1 at Road America in Wisconsin with two Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and a lineup of four drivers competing in the CUP class.

The 2 hour 25 minute race is scheduled for Saturday 20:10 CEST / 2:10 pm EDT and will feature the CUP class with the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, GT4 class with the Porsche Cayman and BMW M4 and TCR with the Audi RS 3 LMS as the slowest class in competition.

Frenchman Y. Hignet will make his series debut piloting the No. 85 Porsche with Pascal Theis as his veteran team-mate.

“I am excited to get to work. We’ve been working towards this weekend the last few weeks. I’ve put in a lot of work. I’m ready to go.”, Hignet said.

“Y. is a great addition to the team. We’ve had immediate chemistry and he’s been doing great since we got here on Wednesday. Road America isn’t a track we go to a whole lot, so every lap we get in the practice sessions matters.”, explained Theis.

Team veterans Manuel Mayer and Benjamin Fischer will share the seat in the No. 84 Porsche, to enter their third IVRA ClubSport Series season, making it the longest-standing driver combination for the team since it entered GT and endurance racing in 2015.

For Fischer Motorsport it will be the first IVRA ClubSport Series race at the 6.52 km / 4 mile track located in the woods near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.

Saturday’s event will be the first of six championship rounds for the 2020-21 IVRA ClubSport Series season that will conclude in March 2021 at Sebring.
